SANDSTONE

Sandstone is a classic sedimentary rock that forms when sand sized grains are cemented together into solid rock. Quartz is the most abundant mineral that forms sandstone. When calcium carbonate, silica or iron are present, water mixing with sand grains can create sandstone, often formed in layers. The color of the rock is largely determined by the cementing material - iron oxides produces reddish-brown sandstone, and the other materials produce sandstone in white, gray or yellow tones.

Sandstone flooring and sandstone tiles are highly acclaimed for their natural beauty, for exterior or interior use, and because of its architectural properties, Sandstone is a suitable medium for both landscape design and architectural building products.
