GRANITE

Granite is a very hard, crystalline and igneous rock that is primarily composed of four minerals. These minerals are quartz, feldspar, mica, and usually hornblende accompanied by one or more dark minerals. It is visibly homogeneous in texture and the most common plutonic rock. Granite is the hardest building stone and occupies a prominent place among dimensional stones on account of its hardness, resistance to weathering, and capability to take mirror polish.

The wide range of vibrant granite colors and textural patterns makes it a stunning material for interior design or landscape design applications. Granite is impervious to stain, making Granite counter tops practical as well as beautiful. Granite flooring is almost indestructible and Flamed Granite makes a naturally slip-resistant surface.
